Osasuna routs Alaves 3-0 at El Sadar to close out 2025
Five second-half goals propel Los Rojillos to victory
Club Atlético Osasuna secured a thrilling 5-3 victory over CD Ebro to advance to the Copa del Rey Round of 32 at Ibercaja Estadio on Tuesday night. Ebro took an early lead just before halftime, but Los Rojillos erupted in the second half, thanks to a brace from forward Raúl García, as well as goals from midfielder Moi Gómez, and forwards Sheraldo Becker and Víctor Muñoz.
Osasuna threatened from the outset, with early chances coming from forward Martin Pedroarena and defender Iñigo Arguibide. Ebro responded with a counterattack, leading to a header from midfielder Alejandro Muñoz that was saved by goalkeeper Aitor Fernández. The home side continued to push for a goal through crosses from the wings, but Ebro's defense held strong. Raúl came close with a shot from close range, but Ebro goalkeeper Mateo Lite was up to the task. The visitors took the lead on the last play of the half when forward Kevin Soeiro finished off a counterattack.
Immediately after the break, midfielder Iker Muñoz earned a penalty that Raúl converted to equalize the score at 1-1. Shortly thereafter, the Catalonian had another opportunity, but his shot from inside the box hit the side netting. As the half progressed, Osasuna took control of possession and tempo, creating danger from the wings through Muñoz and Becker. The duo combined for a great chance, but Mateo saved Becker's shot from a Muñoz cross. Raúl eventually found the back of the net with a goal from Becker's cross, but Ebro equalized moments later through midfielder Marc Prat.
In the final minutes, Moi Gómez unleashed a powerful strike from outside the box to put Osasuna ahead. Becker then extended the lead to 4-2 with a quick counterattack instigated by Muñoz. Ebro managed to pull one back with a late penalty, but Osasuna sealed their victory with another goal on a fast break in stoppage time.
